So it was about time I got off the marks with a post.

I think Ammobox is a great project. A box of tech goodness that I’m sure will make a difference in whatever way the gear is used. Super idea Phil!

I’m at Cologne Airport and flying down to Tbilisi, Georgia. I’ll be down there for a fortnight training radio journalists.

Given that this is a training trip and not a report trip I’m travelling quite light( If you call three laptops light). Normally I’m carting around a Sony Z1 video camera and a Miller tripod.

As for gadgets, most of my gear for this trip is packed into a CaseLogic backpack. I’ve just been singled out as usual by security at the airport for special treatment but lucky all cables are in see through bags – no cable spaghetti.
